The task for 2018 is to Pour a Bowl of Cereal! This past year, we received fourth place at nationals and the year before we took third place at regional competition and third place at national competition, which we hadn't been to in years! We additionally receieved the People's Choice Award at the national competition.
The University of Illinois Rube Goldberg Team was started during Fall 2008 to compete in collegiate Rube Goldberg Machine contests. Each spring we participate in a Regional Competition held at Purdue University and then (if successful) a National Competition held at the Center of Science and Industry in Ohio. Contests serve as a way of challenging traditional solutions to problems and are great ways to spur innovative creativity in engineers and imaginative thinkers.
